‘The challenge of sustainability in the fashion industry’. Elena Salcedo Allende. Lecture.

As part of the III. Summer Course Cristóbal Balenciaga Museum. Towards an ethics of fashion: Challenges and advances, programme included in the Summer Courses of the University of the Basque Country UPV-EHU and directed by Estudio YOX for Cristóbal Balenciaga Museoa.

Paper addressing the principal harmful effects of fashion as an industry and, with it, the ethical and ecological challenges to which it must respond. It looked at the different approaches to sustainability -from efficiency to regeneration- based on real examples of improvements and innovations in technologies, models and systems applied throughout the whole product life cycle.
