This exhibition is part of the centenary of the birth of Irving Penn, considered one of the best photographers of the 20th century. Organized by the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York alongside the Grand Palais in Paris – through Reunion des Musées Nationaux – and in collaboration with The Irving Penn Foundation. It pays homage to this author, famous for his photographs of great personalities such as Pablo Picasso, Yves Saint Laurent, Audrey Hepburn, Alfred Hitchcock, etc., and whose influential photographic work is characterized by its simplicity and rigor. These are portraits of study in which Irving Penn, generates a true intimacy with the models.
